Eldersville United Methodist Church is located in Jefferson Township Washington Co PA. It is due west of Burgettstown PA, to the north of Avella PA, and near Steubenville OH to the West and Weirton WV to the North West. The Church serves the communities of  Eldersville, Avella, Langeloth, Burgettstown, Colliers, Follansbee, and Paris PA.  We believe our charm and good fellowship with a traditional Sunday Service focusing on God’s Word through the Bible that attracts families from as far away as Bethany, WV.

The church was established well before the current building, which was erected in 1850 and has been operating continuously from this location since then.  Many generations of members still attend, also including members from the former Bethel Ridge UM Church that merged into Eldersville in the 1970’s.  Eldersville UM Church has a mix of members new and old, and welcomes parishioners from all walks of life.  We have a Fellowship hall that can accommodate 120 comfortably with additional class rooms for many activities.

The church offers  Sunday School at 9:30 for all ages which includes an elementary educator who can take the younger children while parents are able to engage in Bible Study as a group.  This is followed by a traditional Church service with a children’s message that starts at 10:30 following the Sunday school.

Eldersville United Methodist Church provides outreach to its community through our Pastor and lay members, a prayer chain, as well as the membership in the united body of Christ.  Our history was and is still “People of Christ.”
